Cynthia Smith

Cynthia Smith, Events and Outreach Coordinator, joined the FSC Team in August 2019, after serving as a FSC volunteer for 10 years. Cynthia is a native of Montgomery, Alabama, and attended Auburn University. She, along with her husband, John, and two children moved to Galveston in 2002. In addition to Outreach and Event Planning, Cynthia has a true passion for volunteerism and takes on many community causes in an effort to connect people across all boundaries. Cynthia currently serves on the Board of Directors for Ronald McDonald House of Galveston, Gulf Coast Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Better Parks for Galveston, and the Galveston College Foundation.

In addition to being a loving mother to Luke and MaryBeth and grandmother to Dacey and Jax, she is a devoted “dog mom” to her Airedale, Bean, and her Goldendoodle, DoodleBug. Cynthia is an avid SEC College Football fan, whose only allegiance is to Auburn University-WAR EAGLE! She can be found most Saturdays, in the fall, at home watching football-all day and night.
