THE FATHERHOOD PROGRAM

This new program allows us to offer counseling and parenting groups at NO COST to fathers and their families in Galveston.

Group meetings consist of focused discussions around fatherhood topics such as positive discipline strategies, co-parenting, effective communication, and manhood.

Men must be a father or father-figure to a child ages 0-17 to qualify.

COUNSELING

  • Can be individual counseling, couples counseling, and/or family counseling

  • For a wide variety of concerns, not just parenting-related (high stress level, marital or family conflict, overcoming personal obstacles, mental health issues, etc.)

FATHERHOOD GROUPS

  • Supportive, all-male environment

  • Learn parenting skills and strategies

  • Discuss fathering with other men in non-judgmental environment

  • Dinner provided, plus other perks
